Prayers for Children

Lord,

This day has flown by. Thank you for letting me get things done. The boys were good and we all managed to smile at one another today. I sent my boy off on an adventure and I pray he is doing OK. There are so many times I would rather just keep him home because no one takes care of him like I do. I know he is probably having a great time and things are fine, but I pray he is OK. I pray for his keeper so she may have strength and patience with him. He can be a handful and I pray she is able to manage. Let them enjoy each other since they may not get many more times like this.

I pray for all the families travelling today and in the coming days. May they drive safe and sure. I pray the kids would have patience, even though they usually do not. I pray they would enjoy the time spent with family. Keep them safe.

Lord,

Today was so nice to have time for me. I know it is selfish to say, but honestly I thank you for giving me such a gift as time to get some things done. I only wish I would have focused and done more.

I pray for my little guy. We thought he was on the mend, but it seems maybe he is getting sick again. Please keep him on the road to health. I ask that you would heal him so he can be a sweet boy again. He is restless and cranky much of the time and I wish I could do more. Please give me the strength to make it through the next few days.

I pray for the little ones still sick. No child should have to endure being so ill. It is a test of faith and I ask that you be with each of them as they make it through their ordeals.

There are so many kids getting sick. Not just runny nose sick, but full out critical care sick. I lift up each and every one of these kids to you asking you to heal them. I pray their doctors have the wisdom to treat the problem and help comfort the kids. Please be with all the families as they care for their little one(s) in this stressful time. Call on friends and neighbors to bring meals or care for the healthy siblings.

I pray especially for J who is in and out of the hospital getting lots of tests to find out what is wrong. She seems better, but is still a sick little girl. I pray for her family to be strong and they may get help caring for the other kids. May her doctor have the wisdom to find what is wrong and may you heal her quickly.

I pray also for my own baby. He has had a fever for a couple of days and he is so sad. Please give is the guidance to know when enough is enough and take him to a doctor. Please let the medicines work to give him some relief. I ask you to heal my little guy. If there is any way, please do not let the other one get this. Keep him strong and healthy so we may take care of each of them.

God, you are so strong and powerful. Your hands are so big. I give you my worry and fear and know that you will take care of us. Please be with all the families caring for a sick little one. Ease their fears. I ask they would give you their troubles as your hands are bigger and you are able to carry the loads of all of us.

I ask you to guide us all and be with us. Give us wisdom to care for your children.

Thank you for allowing me to help someone today. I did not have to and she did not expect me to, but I said yes anyway. It felt good to help someone. Sure I got something out of it, but I did not do it for that. I did it to help. The kids were so good too. I cannot believe I took two kids to a strange house and they had the sense to not trash it.

I pray for all the others that want to help but cannot. May they find the strength to say yes even when it is hard.

Lord, please continue to watch over L. He needs your strength to heal. His family is by his side and I am asking you to be with all of them.

Thank you so much for my health and the health of my family. I am so thankful we have avoided major sickness. I continue to wash hands frequently and keep the kids as safe as they can be. Thank you for keeping us protected in this horrible flu season.

I pray for L and his family. He is having a hard time getting better and the family is struggling to stay strong. Please be with him and his wife and kids as they pursue treatment. Lord, I ask that you would heal L and give him back to his family. I ask that he would be OK so they can get back to work and a normal life. Be with the kids and his wife as they go through their daily lives without a father for a while as he gets better. Let those around him step up and offer help and encouraging words.

Lord, I pray for all those little ones with fevers and sore throats that cannot seem to get better. Please be with all of them. Heal them so they may get back to their families and school and playing as kids should. You are the creator and keeper of all of us. I ask that you be with us and keep is safe.

Thank you for keeping us safe tonight. The boys had a great time and we now have more candy than we ever needed.

Please be with all the other trick or treaters as they go through the night. Keep them safe and warm. For those that did not get to go at all, be near them and let them know that Your love is more treat than any other thing.

I am thankful I have the chance to learn. There are wonderful people around and if I take the time I can learn so much from them. Tonight I learned about a tool to spread faith to my kids. It is simple and easy, but maybe not easy to do. There will be obstacles, but I committed to trying this for 40 days. I will try.

I pray that You would give other parents this chance. The little ones deserve to learn about You in a loving way. They can ask questions, talk and pray with their families. I want that for all the kids. For them to have Your name on them. For them to be prayed for and loved. I pray for them. I do not know them, but I know there are so many out there that do not have anything. I pray for them to know You and know You are with them through all their low times. May their lows become highs for them to enjoy with You.

Today was hard. The level of frustration just reached a new height. I pray that you would help me know what to do.

I pray for all the kids whose parents do not know what to do. Help them find each other. Help them teach and listen. Help them love.

I held my son after a bad day today and loved him as much as I could. I kissed him and hugged him hoping he would know that even though I was upset today, I still love him. I want the best for him. I want the life You have created for him. I do not know how to help him. I ask that you help me to help him.

God, I also ask that you help me make my decisions. I seem to be on the verge of something, but I do not know what. The idea of working again makes me kind of ill, but I know we need the income. Help me know what path is right. Where do I go? Also, the decision a friend gave me to make. I have no trouble thinking of reasons the answer is no, but in my heart I know the answer is yes. I just do not know the rest. Help me choose wisely. I need a teacher. I want a teacher. Please help me find the one that can help me.

I am finding that I have much more than I ever realized. You have given me so much and I have never appreciated it as I should. My eyes are beginning to open and I see the people around me. I did not realize how many were around me. It is amazing what you see when you look.

I pray You would give me a path. More specifically, I need help starting down a path. Something I need to do is getting clearer, but I need help with the how. My good friend has suggested something for me to do, but I am not sure how to do it. I want to make the effort, but I am just not sure who to aim for. I am asking You to give me some options. I need to learn and I am asking for a teacher.

I also pray for the little ones. Keep them safe, warm and fed. How can I help? What can I do? It is time to get involved and learn.

Lord, if it is meant for me to return to work, please help me with that. I really do not know where to go. I want to be here for my family, but I need to help support the family too. Keep us together. We are starting to pull apart and more strain will only cause us to snap. Hold us together, but also show me the road to go down. I ask you to guide me. I have faith, You will provide as you always have. Thank you.

Thank you for my friend. We had a good chat today and I learned things I had not thought of before. The pessimist in me is not sure anything will actually change, but I am hopeful that in telling someone I will be held accountable. Even though I do not want to, I take the easy way out. I assume what will go wrong and sometimes will not try.

I pray You would stay with me as I figure these new things out. Help me get on the path You want me on. Tomorrow is a big day for nine children. Please be with us as we make our way through the day. I hope we can get through the day with a light heart. Any success I will give to You. Help us relax and enjoy our time together.

Father,

I have been wondering if You hear me. I am still praying and talking, but feeling more alone. I know You are here with me. Last night I asked you to help a little girl many miles away. I have never even met her. Today I found out she is better. She is home with her family and on the road to recovery. Thank you. Maybe it was not my prayer alone that helped her, but I sure feel like it did help. What fantastic things You can do. I have no idea of the power You are capable of. I only know it is great and mighty.

Lord, I pray that all the kids would be well enough to go home to their families. I am sure they are tired of hospital people, treatments and food. They want their princess sheets and Spider Man pillows. I thank you for the good health of my family. I know You keep us going each day and for that I am grateful.

Thank You for today. The weather was nice, the sun was shining. The kids were manageable. It was one of those days that is just regular, but after many difficult days, regular was wonderful. We go to do fun things and normal things, but overall the day was good. I am thankful for a break in the storm.

I pray for a particular little girl on the East coast. She is sick with quite a few issues and her parents are frazzled. She is getting medical help. I pray that You would be with her as she fights to regain her health. Be with her doctors as they work to treat her. Lord, only You can truly heal her with Your power through the doctors. Give them strength to keep going each day and night to fight the germs.

I ask you to be with children everywhere fighting for their lives. They are so strong to go through all the medical procedures they do. I know You are with them, beside them, carrying them. You help them all endure, all the while loving them and teaching them. As I heard today, sometimes they lose their battles as Your Son did. It is all in Your plan. You are with us always.

I pray that you would be with all the little ones. Hold them close, keep them warm and safe. I pray they would not be hungry as they fall asleep and have sweet dreams.

I have been thinking about kids a lot today. Specifically mine, but really children in general. If I act like someone is watching me all the time I act a differently in front of my kids. When we are home behind closed doors I am more likely to get angry at them. So, today, I was thinking that You are watching me all the time. Am I acting like I want You to see me? Not really. This means I need to act differently than normal. I am really going to need your help.

Tonight I pray for the children that need their parents to have a bit of an attitude adjustment. They do not deserve to be treated any way other than the way You intended. Children are a gift and we should treat them as such. When we get tired and frustrated it is time to call on You and friends to come help. I pray the kids can explore and learn and have the parents to treat them well.

I am at a loss for words. Thank you for giving me my oldest blessing. Four years ago today I was in the hospital waiting and wondering. You gave me a beautiful boy and he has been my guy since then. There have been lots of ups and downs, but through it all he has been a bright shining light in my life. He teaches me so much.

I pray for all the birthday boys and girls. May their light shine extra bright. May they all have cakes and cookies and a special gift to open. I pray that you will teach me to be patient and kind during the downs and appreciative of the ups.

It has been kind of a long day. Not a bad day, but long. Maybe my tiredness is making me feel so weak right now. I am angry and upset and having trouble focusing my thoughts on You and the prayers I need. My marriage is not on solid foundation. There have been pressures put on it that have crushed the spirit we had. We used to be such a team. Now we are both talking and not hearing. There are things I have tried to explain in the last few months, but I know he is not hearing me. The same issues keep coming up, the same questions. We talk and he walks away like everything is OK. It is not OK.

I feel like things are falling apart. The life we led is coming to a halt. I am looking to You to pull us through. Your hands are bigger and meant to hold these things. Walk with me and give me insight as to what I should do. Lead me to where I am to go. Right now, I am open. Things need to change and there has not been a better time to touch my heart and tell me where to go.

Lord, I would pray you open our hearts to hear each other, to really listen. I pray our little family can rise up from the ashes. What changes lie ahead? You are in control and I trust You to lead me.

I pray for my kids and kids everywhere whose parents are having issues. I pray you would walk with the kids and the parents. Bring harmony. Bring love. Bring peace. Lord I know you have a plan for all of us. I pray we can hear the small voice and follow.
